The Miami Dolphins, 0-11, played at home against the also-inept New York Jets (2-9). Miami was favored by Las Vegas oddsmakers to get their first win of the season.
Final: Jets 40, Dolphins 13. All is right with the world.

I went to a sports bar to watch, hoping Miami would win it. No luck. Scrap that wanker quarterback: he is just awful.
You know this means the Pats have to win by 27 tomorrow night. Keeping my fingers crossed….
Hey, BDK, give the kid a break, he’s a rookie in like his third game…I didn’t see the game but from the box score it looks like the entire team did it’s share in the quest for perfection! I’m a little worried about Baltimore, though–Miami will be home and the Ravens are pretty bad, but of course so were the Jets supposed to be.
As much as I’d love to see the Dolphins pull a perfect season… I’d hate to see Brady and friends pull off a perfect season. Using the mirror laws you guys established earlier, in order for the Pats to not get their perfect season, the Dolphins must some how win.
So maybe BDK wants to see Brady and the Pats get stopped…
@Wahrheit: Jay Feeley was 2/2 in field goals and 1/1 in extra points. He’s not on the same page as the rest of the team.
@Allen: We’ll have to get BDK to address that. For me, I’m perfectly willing to “sacrifice” having to see the Pats go 16-0. I’ve been listening to Miami sports talk over the Internet today, and it’s been interesting.
I just finished watching the Pats-Baltimore game. Oh my freaking head, what a crazy ugly win that was. I am now very scared of the Pittsburgh confrontation.

Isn’t Miami the last team to have a perfect season (all wins)? Are they about to do it again (all losses)?
I don’t really follow football so maybe they are not alone. But would they be the only team to have both “perfect seasons”?
@BDK: What are you doing hoping the Dolphins will win? I lived in Miami for 5 years, and want them to lose!
@Tacticus: You’re correct on both counts. Not bad for someone who doesn’t follow football.

I figured if the Dolphins could beat anyone it would be the jets, but that was a serious blow out. The Dolphins really are a crappy football team.

@Polly: Correct, although the Bengals are the kind of team that would fall flat against them.
@BDK: The Ravens had that game at least twice; the Pats definitely have the Celtics’ leprechaun somewhere on the sideline.
Don’t forget that no matter how good the fins are doing and how bad the Jets are doing, the Jets somehow have a knack for beating the Dolphins.
It’s kind of like how the Marlins were always Brave Killers
