Remember our friend l3rucewayne, who used to blog, but for some reason stopped? Well, he’s now on YouTube, doing commentary on his 5-minute blitz games!
Here’s a game that we played (by the way l3ruce, feel free to allow my name to show next time; these games are viewable publicly on ficsgames.com anyway) The following game features some wrinkles in the Grob Attack that we feel makes this a novelty in high-level chess play. In fact, we’ve lobbied to include this opening in the next edition of ECO as “The Grob Attack, l3rucewayne-Liquid Egg Variation”.
I liked our first game more for some reason. Will do on the name thing, probably should’ve asked before the games.
24…Rd7 is best i think. The Knight on a4 is poisened for the time being due to the mating threat on f2.
Just a quick observation.
@Bruce: Boy, wonder why you liked the first one more? It couldn’t possibly have anything to do with you thoroughly dominating the game…
@CMoB: Agreed, 24. … Qg5 made my life easier by eliminating the mate threat.
