Since all the games are finished, I’m posting it early. Great stuff the first week…you can bounce around the players’ blogs to get game details. Think I remember someone mentioning keeping a record of the game scores in a central location. Good idea or not? If so, any ideas about how to do it? The forum came to mind, but there must be better ways.

(This podcast probably did not turn out any better than the first one. I was too embarrassed to listen to it to find out.)
Mascot: You never told us about your mom! It’s a wonder gorckat was able to get in touch with her. Can you find some pictures; we’d all be interested! I couldn’t find her in the crowd on Saturday.
I believe I can go to people’s Profiles and get the LEPer games on my own. If people have annotated/commented/noted PGN files they’d like in the record, email me the file.
I’ll be on FICS tonight gathering the games as well as looking to see how we can store them. Ideally, I’ll find a place for everyone to link to and share the whole event.
I think I’ll add some kind of sidebar chunk to my blog with my game progress through the event, to make sure visitors can see what’s going on and get back to here for the details.
Killer podcast, boys. Mascot, you’re a fairweather fan and I’m sorry, but I can’t support the pay raise with Donnie until you show more loyalty to the Boss.
Plus, it’s the Fischer-Spassky-Kasparokarpov knight maneuver in the Greco-Roman Sicilian Gambit. If your gonna make chess opening references you need to study up a little more.
I needed that :-). I think maybe it was a bit better than the first one if for no other reason than that I was prepared for the mascots voice. It is nice to know that everyone will have someone rooting for him or her when they play Donnie. I’ll root for Donnie against whoever beats me so no one is left out in having someone root for them. It’s like a Mr. Rogers story come true… sorta

I won’t be able to play this week. Unless I get some crappy day where I feel like sitting in my room in Seville playing chess on the internet. Besides I’m not sure the time difference is managable.
Well, the guys I saw at the Olympics were wearing some kind of suit but it still didn’t look like much fun thrashing around on a mat with a big sweaty dude–this is why I much prefer mixed doubles tennis as a participation sport.
Donnie: I hope it is doing well, hard to tell if one is taking care of it properly and new small pains cause me to worry a bit from time to time, but I think/hope they are simply the result of long term pressure from the air cast boot. I think next monday I will be getting X-rays to see if it is healing well.
So it looks like the polly vs. me match will be late, so do we just both play two matches next week? the one missed and the scheduled one?
Polly: I think the time difference could perhaps be manageable with a day or two advance scheduling, but I don’t really know your situation. On the plus side, more time for me to try and improve for the match!

Incidentally, no one was supposed to know I had parents (that doesn’t mean the “popping out of an egg carton” story is false, BTW) and I don’t know whether to be angry with gorkcat for revealing it or impressed he was able to find her.
